A seasoned arts administrator, Barb has been involved in programming, production, community engagement, arts education and cultural planning with creative sector organizations across Canada. As Cultural Services Officer with NVRC, she is responsible for communications and promotional initiatives; community outreach; operating grants programs; and, planning and policy development. Previous work in the cultural sector has included the City of Vancouver Cultural Services Division, the BC Arts Council, and 2010 Legacies Now. She has held senior management positions with the Winnipeg and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras, worked in the media arts program at the Banff Centre, and taught in the Arts Management program at Confederation College.
Her work with educational institutions has included the University of Victoria's Cooperative Education Program and B.C.'s Open Learning Agency and Knowledge Network where she was Manager of Marketing, Sales and Licensing. An active musician, Barb plays the violin and is Past President of the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra.
