The development of a new Cultural Plan for North Vancouver is now well underway and the Arts Office has been thrilled with the response from the community to date. Input from key stakeholders in the cultural sector, and from the community at large, has helped to guide the development of priorities and strategies that will inform a new cultural plan for our community. It's still a work in progress, so please consider taking a few moments to complete the Cultural Planning Online Survey. A thrilling performance by Brockton School's World Music Ensemble helped launch the first-ever World Café at Presentation House Arts Centre in early April. Hosted by the Arts Office, the World Café was a facilitated round-table workshop involving 67 participants from the North Shore's creative community including: artists, arts administrators, City and District planning staff, tourism representatives, educators, and members of the general public. The group engaged in collaborative discussions regarding aspirations, opportunities and challenges to refresh and re-envision plans for a new Cultural Plan for North Vancouver.

Culture Days is the largest-ever collective public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and cultural community in this country. This September, local arts, culture and heritage groups, libraries and community centres will band together to celebrate North Shore Culture Days and offer a wide range of free, participatory and interactive events that will give community members an idea of the creative opportunities that exist right here in our own backyard!
