Program: Touring Initiatives
Program description:
Awards are available to assist British Columbian artists and arts organizations to develop markets outside of the province or to represent British Columbia or Canada at significant international exhibitions or events. Organizations or individual artists requiring assistance are required to advise the British Columbia Arts Council as soon as a tour is contemplated.
Program eligibility:
To be eligible an applicant must either be a professional arts organization registered as a non-profit society in the Province of British Columbia, or a recognized professional artist. Further eligibility requirements may apply.

Program: Museums Assistance Program
Program description:
The Museums Assistance Program (MAP) provides financial support to Canadian museums and related institutions for projects that foster excellence in museum activities and that facilitate access to the treasures of our collective heritage. There are five funding components: Access to Heritage, Exhibition Circulation Fund, Aboriginal Heritage, the Canada-France Agreement and Organizational Development.
Program eligibility:
Incorporated, non-profit Canadian museums that provide services to the public year-round, employ at least the equivalent of one full-time professional staff, and have collections management, conservation (if applicable), and programming policies, as well as a medium-term organizational plan (3 to 5 years). Incorporated, non-profit organizations wishing to plan and create a museum. Incorporated, non-profit museum service organizations and related institutions. Further eligibility requirements may apply.

Program: Canada-France Agreement on Museum Cooperation and Exchanges
Program description:
Canadian Heritage's Canada-France Agreement on Museum Cooperation and Exchanges supports exchanges between Canadian and French institutions in the museums field and encourage museum professionals in both countries to develop ties.
Program eligibility:
Incorporated non-profit museums open to the public that have policies on collection management and conservation, and public programming, as well as organizational plans. Post-secondary institutions offering museum studies. Institutes, museum associations, and non-profit research centres specializing in museology. Museum professionals. Program: Canada Travelling Exhibitions Indemnification Program
Program description:
Through this program, the Government of Canada assumes financial liability for loss or damage to objects in an eligible travelling exhibition. The purpose of the program is to increase access for Canadians to Canadian and world heritage.
Program eligibility:
Canadian museums, art galleries, libraries, and archives are eligible to apply.
