The North Vancouver Public Art Advisory Committee (NVPAAC) serves both the City and the District of North Vancouver. This volunteer committee reviews and advises on public art matters pertaining to the municipally administered civic, community and developer public art programs. Curious about the public art in North Vancouver? Want to get involved? If so, there are a number of volunteer opportunities available.
- The North Vancouver Public Art Advisory Committee (NVPAAC) is a volunteer body of nine members chosen for their background, knowledge and expertise in the area of public art, architecture, art, urban design, art history or residential development.
- An Artist Selection Panel is convened for each new public art project. Each panel includes representation from the local artistic community, the project design team, and the NV Public Art Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Artist Selection Panel is to select the highest qualified artist or artist team to complete the project.
- Public Art geocaching is a hide and seek outdoor adventure activity that utilizes GPS coordinates to find Public Art in North Vancouver. The Arts Office has joined the game by hiding caches at twelve North Vancouver Public Art sites. The Public Art Geocaching is volunteer driven and is open to community members with an interest in the program.
