Operating Grants are provided to support the annual operating activities of eligible North Shore arts, culture and heritage organizations. The grants are administered by North Vancouver Recreation & Culture on behalf of the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver.
Operating Grants are intended to support a diverse range of activities that enrich the quality of life of North Vancouver residents. The program focuses on and supports:
- Groups that demonstrate a clear mission, mandate and artistic vision;
- Groups that create and present work produced primarily by local artists/performers/artisans;
- Groups that operate year-round in a fiscally responsible manner with a sound governance model;
- Groups that demonstrate leadership, innovation and collaboration in their artistic and community engagement practices;
- Groups that provide opportunities for creative sector development that include employment to artists and creative sector workers.
