Call for Visual Artists - Pushing Boundaries Exhibition

The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is seeking First Nations Artists for a themed exhibition called “Pushing Boundaries 2013”. Presented at CityScape Community Art Space, this exhibition will showcase contemporary First Nations artwork. Artists are encouraged to “push the boundaries” to create contemporary work with traditional association using non-traditional mediums or traditional mediums with a contemporary edge.

Exhibition Dates: Oct 11 – Nov 16, 2020

Deadline for submissions: June 1, 2020 at 4pm

CALL FOR VISUAL ARTISTS: PUSHING BOUNDARIES 2013

Submission must include:

original works only (submitted artwork must be available for the exhibition)
up to 8 works may be submitted in JPEG or PDF format on a disk or USB or as printed photographs
all accepted work must be presentation ready
if work is framed, please include frame description and matting details
a list of work including artists name, title, size, medium and price
CV, biography and artist statement
mailing address, email, and phone number
for submission returns: please include a SASE or indicate that you will pick up your submission or you would like us to discard them
a jury fee of $10 for members and $15 for non-members (Visa, MC, Debit, Cheque and Cash – please make cheque payable to NVCAC)

Emailed submissions will not be accepted. Please do not call for submission status as all applicants will be notified.
