- June 18, 2020 - Lions Gate Sinfonia Orchestra is looking for the right person to support the advancement of our organization’s growth and development. We are looking for a part-time Production and Programming Manager to manage several elements of our ongoing operations. The Production and Programming Manager will work with the Music Director and support specific Board initiatives as directed by the Board and/or the Artistic Director. The ideal candidate should be a versatile, optimistic and energetic person. Above all you should be a lover of music.
- May 2013 - The third annual “Concerts in the Square” series returns in August 2013 to Shipbuilders’ Square at the Shipyards, located beside Lonsdale Quay along the City of North Vancouver waterfront. Performers interested in participating are invited to post your videos and music on the "Concerts in the Square" Facebook page for a chance to play this years concert series!
- May 2013 - The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is seeking artisans and crafters for the Canada Day Craft Fair (July 1, 2020) and the Civic Plaza Craft Fairs (Saturday, July 13, July 27, August 10 and August 24). The Canada Day craft fair provides an opportunity for artisans to sell their work at one of the biggest events in North Vancouver.
- May 2013 - The North Vancouver Holy Trinity Catholic Women's League's "Art in the Atrium" event is a new local community-building event. Artists can submit up to three finished and framed 2D or 3D works of art. Selected art will be exhibited in the new elementary school's bright and beautiful wood-beamed atrium gallery. Artists will have the option of selling their works. Submission deadline May 31, 2013.
- The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is seeking First Nations Artists for a themed exhibition called “Pushing Boundaries 2013”. Presented at CityScape Community Art Space, this exhibition will showcase contemporary First Nations artwork. Artists are encouraged to “push the boundaries” to create contemporary work with traditional association using non-traditional mediums or traditional mediums with a contemporary edge. Exhibition Dates: Oct 11 – Nov 16, 2020 Deadline for submissions: June 1, 2020 at 4pm
- The Lynn Valley Village Busking Program invites musicians, dancers, jugglers, mimes, and other creative practitioners to share their talents with the Lynn Valley community. Busking hopefuls can apply for a Village Use Permit through the District of North Vancouver.
- June 2012 - Maplewood Farm enjoys over 91,000 visitors per year and houses a wide variety of farm animals. Beginning this summer, Maplewood Farm will introduce a busking program that they hope will provide opportunities for local artists as well as enhance the visitor experience to the farm. A busker is a person who plays an instrument, sings, dances, juggles, mimes, performs or otherwise entertains the public with a creative or artistic practice.
- September 2011 - The North Shore Chorus welcomes new singers. The group meets Wednesdays, 7:15-9:45pm at Mt. Seymour United Church, 1200 Parkgate Ave., North Vancouver.
- September 2011 - North Shore Writers Association invites writers of all genres, fiction and non-fiction to read their work in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere, and to listen to other writers share their work and talk about the writing process. Free for members, non-members by donation.
- The North Shore Chamber Orchestra is an amateur music ensemble looking for new string players. The group rehearses Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30pm at Sutherland Secondary, 1860 Sutherland, North Vancouver.
